Dr Karthik Ram

Nicole BakerHi, My name is Karthik. I graduated from the University of Western Australia with my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Before my career in podiatry, I also worked in accounting. However, through my part-time student job at The Athlete’s Foot, I became more interested in the health benefits which good shoes can offer a person. I soon realised that this can have a profound effect on a person’s overall quality of life. So following a year working in accounting, I decided to make the change to podiatry, and I haven’t looked back since.

My area of interests in podiatry includes the pathophysiology of diabetic feet, sports injuries and arthritis. I am passionate about helping you find the best outcome for your foot health. Further, I am pleased to accept referrals for patients who require podiatric care. Additionally, I can assist you with foot problems arising from biomechanical abnormalities and offer help by prescribing custom- made orthotics or pre-moulded inserts to suit your age and foot type. I also perform diabetic foot assessments for patients with type 1 and 2 diabetes. Medicare rebate is available through the EPC program.

On a personal note, I am a passionate Manchester United fan and enjoy playing both cricket and football in my free time.

I look forward to meeting you soon!
